One for the DEVS if they listen. Ranger DPS was never brilliant before the new combat changes but now it is terrible. I have 52,702 TIL, maxed on power and other stats are good. Maxed out on Comps, mounts, insignias, enchants etc. But now I do half the damage of other DPS who have 10k -15k less TIL and similar relative stats. Something is not right the whole ranger set up needs reviewing.

We've always been the class that the devs don't know what to do with.
They gave us a bow for our primary weapon but always come back to wanting us to be melee fighters, which is not what we signed up for.
Our animations have always been too long, our control abilities don't control, our stealth abilities don't stealth, our damage abilities kind of damage, but not like they should.
Every two years or so the devs pay attention and make us competitive again, but most of the time? They just devote their energy to making the button-mashing bro-dozer classes happy.
If they do twice your damage then maybe there is just more wiggle room for improvement there, playwise, personally.
With external elements got pushed aside now it is more clear where each class/build stands and what kind buffing/adjustments are required..
Other thing need to note, balancing is not pushing one specific build/paragon path in front and keeping others behind.
IF you think rangers now have issues, have you even try with other characters??
So my advice is not rush to make conclusions while these new combat changes are new.. Give one month, then will see how it will go.

I've been here since mod 2. I've seen them break and then halfheartedly sort of maybe fix the game more times than I can recall.
It is not clear at all where any class build stands.
Because they don't tell us what companions really do.
Because they don't even alphabetize your companions by their type instead of the name, so I'd have spend 300k AD just to get a list that makes sense.
Because the game is overloaded with cash grab overcomplicated nonsense like bolster systems and collars and insignia and premium insignia and pointless stats like accuracy and awareness and this new forte turdpile.
Because making a build that actually works in endgame content has never, and certainly does not now, depend on intelligently reading the descriptions of powers and their damage (now magnitude), duration, cooldown times, and so on, because those numbers have never made sense. A 50% reduction/increase was actually 25%, or wait, maybe there was some algebra involved so that it was 22%, or 28%. And sure, an elven battle enchantment reduces the duration of slows and stuns, but not THOSE slows and stuns. And a soulforged will revive you after death, but not after THOSE deaths. And x ability has a chance to do y. Uh, ok, what chance? You'll have to learn to dive into the source code to find out. And making a working endgame build has always, at least since the mod 6 disaster, relied on having a fortune in AD and on waiting for the obsessive testers or source code divers to put it up on some forum elsewhere or make a 45 minute video that contains three minutes of useful information that could have been typed in one minute.
So please take your patronizing, inexperienced advice to someplace it belongs.
And honestly, you're not even coherent. "External elements?" What are you even talking about?
