GWF Buff again?

Small disclaimer this is not an attack on gwf neither the dps road of gwf.

On yesterdays stream you stated you are working on Buffing gwf tank. This is a BIG problem in mid game. GWF tanks already out dps the dps in these team and now you want to make them un-killable. GWF tanks is overpowered in mid game as it is PLEASE think about this before you hurt the balance further. This will means GWF is the only class the game needs. even heals will be made meh with this move ...PLEASE reconsider this bad move!!!!

FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base

    The issue with Barbarian (seriously it's been over a year since the name change) tanks is that they have no damage reduction tools like their Paladin and Fighter counter parts. Because of this, groups would rather have either of the two tanks, and thus excluding Barbarians. The paragon path shouldn't be regulated to a pseudo dps as a tank, you may as well just pick the other paragon path and actually dps better.

    If you are getting out dpsed by a tank, the issue isn't the tank, but rather your build. Tanks have an innate 10% damage reduction built in to them meaning that if a power is supposed to do 100 damage, it does only 90 for that tank. Barb tanks are on the weaker side of tanks in terms of dps. The lower dps of barb tanks is part of the reason why they have aggro problems in endgame content.

    How are tanks and healers able to out-dps actual dps players in queued content?

    The answer is companions. Because having their stats capped is not as important for support roles, tanks and healers can use active companions in scaled content letting them do more damage to help the party out and speed things up a bit. There are ways to optimize your build so that it maximizes the damage summoned companions do. Companion damage is based on the weapon damage of the player using that companion. Players running with Lionheart and Celestial weapons will have companions that can do more damage. A well optimized companion build with Lionheart or Celestial weapons will be able to deal about the same amount of damage that a less experienced IL 22,000 dps will be able to deal.

    Another thing to consider is that the pain giver chart does not indicate which player is stronger. All it shows is which player was able to remove the most amount of health. That means that if a player is able to run ahead and get to the mobs first, they are able to damage the enemies health first, leaving less HP for other players to be able to take. This is why the pain giver chart is not a reliable way to determine who is the strongest dps.
