PVE Etiquette

New to the game, but not online gaming. For me, I think it's rude, while your killing an enemy, that someone out of nowhere comes up and 'helps', I try to look around first, then go on the attack. My question is, was is proper etiquette for the 'zone', and how should I handle it, this last time I just 'walked off'.

    various players means various personalities.

Some may help, some will not. Some will see that you are fine and will not interupt and help if think you are in situation where you can't handle all alone.

Some may not help at all, some even try leech( land finishing blow and expect loot).
And there are some who actually deliberately gather more enemies creatures from all arround for sake to make your fight hader or even you fall.

Also there are players who simply ignore others, think that game is running arround them. Lets say you gather few groups of enemies/demons and prepering to wipe them all with AoE powers, then someone do it before you manage to land any hit.

So as I wrote, there are various type players. Some helpful and friendly, and some are selfish bas***ds. :)

Don't forget that Cryptic has a bad habit of giving the rewards to the person who landed the killing blow, or the one that does the most damage. And if you do not do enough damage, you do not get credit for quests.
