How is combat companions (non augments) damage calculated?

Good morning,

Although I know not many people uses non augment companions, they still have uses, either because you are having fun or because you have capped all needed stats without an augment companion.

I have been trying to figure how is the damage from my combat companion calculated (Abyssal chicken) and I have not been able to.

My main concern is how is the combat companion Armor Penetration, Accuracy, Critical Strike and Critical Severity determined.

From my own tests, is for sure that neither Armor Penetration nor Critical Severity are inherited from your character because with my character having more than 90K Armor Penetration if I go to level 80 content, depending on the map the combat companion efficiency drops to values between 77% and 88%, instead of the expected 100% if Armor Penetration was inherited from your character. Same goes to Critical Severity, because the difference between Critical and non-Critical damage is quite low.

Accuracy doesn't seem to be inherited from your character either because with 90K accuracy, enemies are deflecting quite a few times the attacks from the combat companion.

Furthermore, is seems that combat companions don't get any benefit from Combat Advantage. When me and the companion are in Combat advantage with each other, although my character gets more damage because of it, my companion doesn't seem to get any increase and their attacks are never logged as "Flank".

I do hope you can clarify how do combat companions works.

Thanks a lot in advance.
