Hell Pit "You have this quest active on a different character"

I can't get the Hell Pit quest. The Soul Broker has the exclamation mark quest symbol but tells me I have the quest active on a different character. I don't. Last event I ran it on this same character, the Hell Pit quest shows up under my completed quests. My other characters can't even see the quest. I've seen more people with this same problem in my alliance.

I have the same issue. Well more or less. I never ran Hell Pit, and now I can’t run it this time either because of this.

I am also having this problem on PC. Have never done the event before and cannot grab the quest.
