Demonic Tome of Experience

I obtained a Demonic Tome of Experience as a reward from a Gauntlgrym Bounty. However, it appears there is no way to actually use the item as it requires a character to be level 1. I would like to use this item on another character, but one cannot use the VIP Benefits until completing the tutorial; at which point the item will be unusable since the character will have leveled up, making the item unuseable.

Also, the other rewards are pretty meh, we no longer use protector seals at all, and 10 dungeoneer shards is lower than what you get for running a baby dungeon, I suppose the conqueror shards are useful if your guild wants PvP boons, but....
