Hello. It's not a bug, just a question about mechanics - how it should work? It's description says that player gain +% damage when struck and this consumed on strike on the enemy, so for how long this +% damage should work, just for one hit? I don't think this is right. I have tested this and this damage boost have worked for about 2 sec.

@blu3army did a video on these, showing how they work with various weapon enchants and powers. You can check it out here. It's very informative.
Edited: Wrong version of gloves.

that video was on the spiked version of the gloves
Oh, my bad. I didn't catch that. Sorry.

My impression from the tooltip is that you build stacks, get one hit with the damage buff which is then replaced by the defensive buff. If this is how it works, they will be good for tanks with the buffed hit going for more aggro.
I haven't tested it. One character has them equipped but only because I decided the extra HP were worth more than the bonus from her antiquated Jawripper gloves. That was after she capped Avernus this week and I haven't done anything with her since.

Yes, it's good for tanks and i'm using it on pally tank, but I want to understand how to buff my damage with them. So i can gain damage buff when i'm struck, but when I hit I'm loosing this buff. So what's the point?
Take 5 hits, then use your big attack, I guess. Remains to be seen what testing will show. Do blocked hits count, for instance? What about if you have Temp HP?

For tanks and DPS characters: Forget about these pair of gloves and go for the spiked ones, as they are better overall. A "hit" here means that you have to get hit while not using a shield, this could already mean death for a tank, with 5 consecutive hits. And the spiked ones keep their damage resistance as long as you block attacks with your shield, which is great. If you decide to deal damage, then lower your shield, get struck and you will deal 5% more damage for 10 seconds. The shielded version only gives 5% more damage for a very short amount of time, or even only 1 attack if the description is correct.
I get the impression that someone wanted to make 2 creative and interesting pairs of gear but didn't test this mechanic in game.

Can this be for mob cleaning for tank? Tank would not be killed by little mob. Let the mob hit once each (should be more than 5 hits) and then release an AOE. Quicker solo HE for tank?
