how is the option of companions decided ( offense / defense etc ) when choosing the 5 allowed ?

How is the options of which classification of companions available to choose as the 5 selected options .
My barbarian only allows 1 offense companion to be chosen whereas my cw allows 4 offense companions .
Is there any way to change this ?
As I've been bitten before when adding a companion to my character but not then being able to select it as it is then classified as a defense companion ( can't see the classification before bonding the companion to the character ) .
Why not have more than 1 offense companion option for an offense based character ?

Because they thought Barbie is not an offense based class.
You will be stuck like that right now.

Thanks to Rainer you will find a companion tab (or whatever) that lists which companion/slot and a lot of other great stuff.
Might have to look for it, I'm on my phone

Use Rainers sheet to pick out companions so you don't go in blind.

CW is 3 offense, 1 defense, 1 utility. No way to change the slots. It's based off the class (you can see slots on Rainers sheet too).
