Has there been any official word on the tales UI / cap bug?

So this week I planned out what I was going to grind for and when I was going to grind for it, seeing as this event is so time-consuming and y'know, I can't spend all of my time on this game as I have irl responsibilities. I planned on getting at least one page per day, thinking I could do this as the cap was said to be 45 coins per day.
I was collecting everything from the cheapest stuff first to the most expensive last, and I finally got to the artifact the day before yesterday, farmed approximately 20 coins and then discovered I could collect no more as the cap is bugged. Now I have no chance at collecting my final page as it's taken me two days worth of grinding to get the artifact which left me with approximately 10hrs to farm 39 coins, including a reset somewhere within that 10hrs.
I know I'm not alone in this. A lot of people I know have done this event religiously over the last week only to find at the last minute that they have no way of completing it. The devs have completely misdirected me and those others in regards to time constraints thanks to the UI / cap bug (because when we believe we have a higher daily cap we invest our time in other things alongside event, thinking we have more room to do so).
So my question is, alongside the question in the title, how will the devs be responding to this problem? I hate sounding entitled or whatever, but I do believe that we who have been let down by this bug should be compensated somehow. Perhaps given a free pack that allows us to choose one of the tales pages, kind of like insignia packs where when you open the pack you have a choice between different insignias.
If I had known the cap was bugged and the UI was 2x fast I would have applied myself to this event much differently. I have been unable to complete this event through no fault of my own, so again, I do believe I and others in my situation should be compensated for this.
