kittendkittend Member Posts: 21 Arc User
i dont understand y an item with 10% chance has max 15 tries should it not b 10 tires before guarantee? same for items with a 1% chance should be after 100 tries not 150 becasue then its not 10% anymore or 1% chance so i would like it to be respect to make it accurate

Because it doesn't reflect a cumulative chance effect? More in line with reality of the game's RNG.

It was stated, when it was implemented, that guaranteed success would be 1.5 times.

Yep, as stated, cumulative chance is way more tricky than additive. The chance of failing with 1% success 150 times is 0,99^150 = ~22,15% and after you get the guaranteed success. 0,99 is the chance of fail, because it's 150 consecutive fail.

    With 10, 90% fail rate 0,90^15 = ~20,6%

As seen, these caps can be reached 1 in 5 times in average.
