account server issues?

On change character nothing happens and then I get logged out and can't log back in right away. I exit the app and then from the launcher it shows server status with red. Have to reload launcher and then can login and get to game but if I change character again...it rinses and repeats. This just started in the last few minutes. Worked fine about an hour ago.

    no shards are available to your account. This is what I'm seeing with green lights for the servers.

    And now even reload launcher isn't working.

    I know when I did RQ a couple hours ago Dread Legion was awful at the start with Lag and server not responding. Something in thursdays patch or the fact that people are doing lots of instances...tong and codg with 2xrefining.
