Cannot create Gith Character

Per the developer blog on 7/12/2019 (https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/11206373-developer-blog:-gith) non VIP players should be able the create a Gith Character. I tried today after the server came back up from maintenance and was unable to create a Gith. I have open toon slots so that is not an issue. When I try to click Gith it says "Premium Race for purchase in game via the Gith Race pack".

Please fix, we were promised the unlocking Gith free before 9/12. Not unlocking today takes a day out of the short time we can.

Events/promotions/etc always unlock at 10am PDT (in 1 hour 7 minutes from this post writing).

This is not really promo/event this is tied to the mod but I will wait and see. Also the VIP's were able to create their's as soon as the server came up from patching to mod 17.

It is unlocked now. Restart the game, login to a toon and you should see it get unlocked. Just happened for me. Cheers!

Still not unlocking for me. Worst roll out of a new character ever. When I had over 35 days of VIP the Gith didn't unlock. I was told it was because of the promo 30 days free VIP with Undermountain. Hmmm, so the 5 extra days I had previous don't count? Now it won't show the Gith at all when I try to create a new character. Garbage.
