Trabriand's Construct Companion - Short Circuit.

Hi, so i have a Trobriand's Construct Companion that seems to be having a short circuit, when i lvl'd him up to rank 28 he had the ability called Shockwave which instead of shooting forward towards the enemy it shoots backwards off of the back of his hand.
And also the most annoying part is that he now constantly has a red line on the ground, like when an enemy is going to charge at you or something, now i am not sure if this is meant to be there but it has you thinking your being attacked from behind all the time, if it is meant to be there could you change the color to green or something, as even my group mates can see it all so i know its not my system having graphical issues and even they said it's distracting.
