Undermountain Starter gear

So is there any reason to hold on to this stuff? Mine is all 644iL with 523iL artifact weapons. Some of the forums had some people with 800iL gear (I'm assuming it was a bug). Honestly what's the point of giving us the same iL gear as Vistani starter pack?

Am i glitched or did they just give us underwhelming starter gear with the same stats and bonuses as vistani? Before anyone says anything, yes i know vistani was bumped up.

When I noticed the IL was below my slotted gear I discarded it. There will probably be better gear when you get to lvl 80. I assume it is for new(er) players who are not yet at end-game.

there are 3 items in the initial gear pack whick are a must-have...the companion pieces. The rest is just renamed Vistani...pretty useless.

Well, the Undermountain gear from the intro quest is probably only an upgrade for new and returning players or any alt. characters, but you might want to keep in mind that this equipment comes with Rank 8 enchantments slotted for every single character on your account and not just for the first one as it was with the Vistani equipment...

Regarding the companion equipment, you can get better items from the campaign Master Expeditions, but you have to collect all 9 relics every time, don't forget that, or you might have to wait for the next module to get better stuff for your companions.
