"Masterwork Alembic" gives lesser quality than "Adamantine Alembic +1" according to what is displayed when starting the task. Both have 375 focus, but when starting the task "Potion of Grand Healing", "Masterwork Alembic" gives 44% of +1 chance and "Adamantine Alembic +1" has 49% of +1 chance (Kilij Harran, lv 70).

Either chance indicator or "Masterwork Alembic" is broken. Note, "Masterwork Alembic" has +40% quality bonus, possibly it is subtracted rather than added.

All the epic quality tools from MW quests do that. I agree that the quality bonus is being applied as a penalty instead.
