Paralysis debuff dispelling

So cleric's cleansing power seems to be intended to work on removing paralysis (the annoying debuff that stuns you every few seconds). The debuff icon is removed and all seems good, but the stuns keep proccing afterwards so the debuff is still there. Has someone else experienced this, and do you think it is a bug or am I missing something?
