Punished for capping ? or scaling

The current issue that most have is your scaling why spend money to get to a high level in game to be punished for it . You see all the complaints I know u follow the money intake .Still you grasp at this scaling idea like it was the next chicken n waffles . please remove scaling of anything this has done nothing but cause lag, loss of player base , and has to be hitting your bottom line. How do u expect to get new players when all they see is complaints about game if u look on any media site.

Some scaling is fine in principle. I mean, it is no fun being a brand new player doing the Cloak tower for the first time if a BiS L80 player just shows up and blasts through everything.

    The issues are:
    • Scaling is overly aggressive - BiS L80 players get downscaled to be weaker than L70 players with moderate gear. This has been confirmed to be at least partially an error, and hopefully it should get (at least partially) fixed with today's patch.
    • Item-based scaling in the form of capping (for example by downgrading a R15 and a R10 enchant down to the same value) is just wrong in principle. Yes, it might make sense in PvP to take gear differences out of the equation and "level the playing field", but for PvE it is just wrong, as it basically takes away the motivation to improve your character through gear upgrades.
    • Scaling was massively bugged in some areas (like the Maze engine instances, where the mobs were many levels above you). (Almost?) all of those should get fixed with today's patch.
    Hoping for improvements...

yeah, but just scale down the RAD rewards, that will stop end game ppl running stuff.

tbh, that's what I think scaling is all about, stopping ppl stomping stuff and taking the RAD rewards

I think the developers are massively missing the point we have made about scaling. Capping is the real issue. It kills progression.

Uh...the rAD rewards were put there specifically to get "end game" players to run the lower level stuff. The problem was that after worthwhile, unbound rewards were removed from the dungeons, the number of people queueing up for them was so low that lover level players sometimes had to wait for a long, long time for the queues to pop. To fix that, the "random queues" were implemented, and they give out chunks of rAD, specifically to attract more players.

Take that away, and you will be back to the same problem as before.

    Hoping for improvements...
