Rune Etchings missing from Master Expedition chests

Came across a bug during the Master Expedition dailies. Today I could not obtain any rune etchings from the final room chests in any of my three daily Master Expeditions. The daily quest was taken each time as well as 2 or 3 runes (different types) used in all three Expeditions; the specific rewards attached to their use appeared on the chest, but no rune etchings, which is unusual as they have always been a reward before, regardless of number or type of rune used for the expedition. Support told me it seems to be a bug and recommended me make a post here. However it, but it doesn't seem widespread.

Anyone else had this issue?

I did a run within the last couple days with someone who had the same issue, but then picked up the quest requiring you to collect 5 runes; the run after picking up the quest had a rune in the chest. It seems if a quest is available to you that involves runes, you need to have the quest.
