Can't transmute the new equipment

I submitted bug reports when I tried the first few, but now that I'm getting more new gear it's consistent across the board for both of my mains. I can't change appearance (except sometimes the dye) on any of the new gear. I get a big red X every time I try. I made sure nothing is protected and tried it with the gear on and off (which has never mattered in the past), but nothing works. So I'm back to fashion till it's fixed. Is anyone else having this issue? A few people on my alliance channel had issues with the dye, but didn't seem to have trouble transmuting. I really hope it gets fixed! Thanks!
