[PC] Terminus Expedition Campaign Quest - Bug or intended

Myself and two friends are making out way through the Undermountain Campaign. Barbarian tank(80+14k ilvl), Rogue (76+ ~8k ilvl) and myself as a cleric (80+14k ilvl) healer. We're all new to Neverwinter but not MMO's. That's just to explain that we don't have any other campaigns completed, no access to prior raid gear etc.

2nd phase of the expedition (the map with the waterfall) we encountered a Battle Troll in the 1st room on the left from the entrance (dining area?)

Extremely slow to dmg, funky mechanics of collapse on him to not take dmg (red was everywhere but a circle around the troll.

Is this intended or did we get an expedition meant for something else?

    The area around the troll is the safe spot, the red area is the aoe.

    Yeah we got that. What we were wondering is if this encounter is supposed to be in the lvl 76 undermountain campaign quest, or if we got some master expedition instance by mistake or something.

    Nope. That was his place you crashed. The campaign expeditions are training grounds for the master expeditions.

    And too if you have groups on occasion boss level monsters will appear outside of the boss rooms. It is to encourage you to try to run them solo.
