Undermountain blows

I totally hate your UNDERMOUNTAIN. First off you create a new system and change everything our points boons etc. and you have no GUIDE to brush up with?? WTH Some of us would appreciate some insight on how the darn new system has changed and how to recover a once strong Guardian Fighter that is killed at every turn. It's ok to change but at lease have a lengthy enough guide to explain changes and what to do class by class. pet by pet. You will be loosing many a player from your ignorance of not putting up any appropriate guides. and I don't bean the one paragraphs you now have

I agree with this one. A guide is definitely needed. I have two characters. Both are broken. I tried changing the build, but it was worse than the first build. Part of the difficulty is that if you start with a low level character you figure out how things interact as you slowly make alterations. When asked to do so wholesale without any idea if one choice makes your likelihood of injury worse or probability to hit better. The other difficulty is that everything fell into the overflow bag so you cannot just move things around to use them and try them out. If I were 10th level, I wouldn't care.

I sat around with a group of friends and it turned out we all played Neverwinter. The one thing we agreed with is that we were no longer having fun playing it. Updating a character is now work and spending months rearranging gear because what you have configured no longer works the same way is also work. Who wants to log into a game in order to work?

A guidebook is something that should needs built quickly, possibly with a reset. After all, why quest to earn diamonds to earn a rebuild from finding out you were better off before? Again, that is work.

    Mulch it all for RP.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

also i find it amusing the entire set of items that neverember "rewards" you with before going to undermountain are identical to the items you get from the introduction to barovia quest....even the tooltips say they are gifts from the Vistani.....they have the exact same stats.....the only difference is the names

Glad that I wasn't the only one who noticed this.... I refuse to believe this module was in the works for a year. They may have been *planning* it for a year, but I refuse to believe they actually spent a year in production on this lazy, bug-ridden nightmare.

Why bother? RP serves no point anymore. All enchantments are capped at rank 10 for 95% of the game (or lower if its a Bonding stone). That's what I cannot fathom about all of this. Gold serves no point, because professions are so screwed up and useless as of this mod. AD is equally worthless, because the one thing it might be good at, companion upgrades, no one wants to risk sinking literal *millions* of AD into a companion that could be made utterly irrelevant worthless with a single patch, and the Mark of Potency stuff, well, see enchant cap. Zen is worthless because there's nothing worth buying with it, since VIP is nerfed into the ground and the new lockboxes are dropping broken stuff.

I'm utterly baffled as to the level of disconnect here. I get that the Devs don't really play this game and there's a...disconnect...between them and the players that could be charitably measured in lightyears. But this? Even the bean-counters calling the shots seem to have no idea just how badly they've screwed up the economy of their game. This is like....this is almost an Aliens: Colonial Marines level of screw up. I would almost be willing to bet money that in 20 years time, NWO may be used as an example of how not to structure the economy of a Free to Play game and a cautionary tale of what happens when no one bothers to actually pay attention to their player base or otherwise has zero understanding of how their game actually works.

I fear I don't have one. :( Sorry. I can only tell you from the observations of myself, my guildmates, and the others on the forum, don't bother upgrading any of your enchants past level 10. Because it won't matter for 95% of the game, because anything higher than level 10 just gets scaled back to 10 whenever you're not in Undermountain.
