After Nearly Two Years of VIP My Legendary Drop...

Was a blasted net. I have been opening boxes and buying extra keys when funds permit since Winter 2017. I am not demanding anything, just commenting on how lame the random loot generator is for these boxes. It would be different if this legendary net was something that could be ridden, or helped with battle stats. But nope its a net for my adventurers in a area of the game that already vexes me to no end. Crafting is no longer fun for me, VIP feels like a joke. Im at the maximum level all the "perks" and gone are the days where I feel excited about opening a loot box. It all feels so boring and non eventful.

If you read rant this thank you for at least giving my vent some attention. I just cant believe how big of a middle finger the loot gods seem to be giving me.

    Welcome to the party pal, I have been on NW since the alpha. I tried VIP and found out it was just ridiculous and more often than not you are going to lose. Some one did a fact sheet by opening 10,000 loot boxes they drop orange mounts about 1 in 800. I don't open loot boxes or buy VIP any more. But here is what I do here on the PC.

    TBH unless you're opening boxes in groups of 1-5k regularly, don't really expect decent results unless you're unholy levels of lucky.

    Up until Ravenloft I'd never gotten a Legendary item of any kind from a lockbox since the game first launched on PC. Then I got a Swarm.

    That's about the best I'll ever get so I'm fine with that.

    6 years of playing PC, 3 years of playing Xbox - I have only gotten 1 Legendary Mount out of a lockbox. You aren't guaranteed anything. People who get multiple legendary mounts usually are those that spend large amounts of $$$ on keys (unless they are insanely lucky).

    I know plenty of insanely lucky people in this game than. I know five players who have gotten more than 1 legendary mount and never bought anything more than the VIP for the daily key.

    I know others like myself who have VIP and have bought extra keys to get items that IMO have a value well below $1.

    After 30 months I finally got my first legendary mount pack and honestly I was like wow, finally. After you finally get a legendary mount, IMO opening LBs loses its fun factor as now you have that legendary mount.

    Best way to get good things in this game is grind for AD or buy AD.

    I've generally only run the daily VIP and the occasional 20 batch of keys (as much to get the "Other item" in the bundle as for the keys themselves.)
    Since starting the game shortly after it opened on XB I saw1 legendary mount... a Starfade Stag...

    With Ravenloft I bought 300 boxes, Hoping to get at least a Mistform and Twig Man.
    Got 2 Swarms, 3 Mistforms and 2 Twigs.
    I considered buying a lottery ticket... but since I'm a rational human being and don't believe that my luck on the RNG in NWO is capable of impacting any other aspect of my life I consider that to have saved me money.

    Since Ravenloft I stopped buying keys... cos basically the stuff in the boxes that's below Legendary simply don't appeal to me.
    I've since dropped a Legendary pack that got me the TRex I had practically saved up enough to buy, and more recently a Legendary Deepcrow Mount.

    I bought 20 keys a few weeks ago when there was a sale. I got nuthin'. Plus Jim Darkmagic's bag of HAMSTER was the worst add on to a a key bundle in the game's history there was nothing worth having out of it at all.
    And I don't mean I didn't get a Legendary... I mean I didn't even get a GMoP. RP... RP... RP... R8... RP... R8... R8... Cubes of Augmentation.... RP... etc. Not even a useless Professions balm or book...

    I've had 4 legendary Mounts in the past year. Having bought about 360-370 keys on top of my VIP daily. So that's been at about 1 in every 170-180 keys.
    I KNOW that ratio makes me a serious outlier in the stats.

    Until lock boxes start to show some imagination again, I'm sticking to VIP keys only, as 60% of my Legendary Mounts have come from those. The typical HAMSTER that comes from lockboxes is barely worth the resale value, and I can find plenty of RP in game without the extra couple of thousand a day my keys give me.
