I don't know about you, but I finished Underdark on Xbox a long time ago.

lol yes under mountain. I've made that mistake more than once with this upcoming mod. derp. under somejigger or other is what I think I'll start calling instead to avoid this reoccurring .
I'm pretty certain that mod 16 is not going to be all that pretty for consoles.
The update is massive and from my experience when an update is this big, servers will be offline almost all day, sometimes even 2 days in a row or even a week.
The other thing is that NWO has some very stiff competition in ESO Elsweyr launching the week prior. This chapter for ESO adds a new class and the story is pretty big, from what I have seen it is 2x as big as NWO Under Mountain.
Other factors that could delay mod 16 landing on console are results from the PC mod 16 launch. I imagine management may put mod 16 on hold for console if the PC launch of mod 16 flops.
These are all things to consider as we move into June. I will be paying attention to PC launch of mod 16. If enough players dislike the change we will see new posts on the forums, on FB and other social media with players complaining about the changes, stating they are quitting, and some may even threaten to sue.
There is already an out cry of how much players are disliking the update. I'm waiting for it to launch and see what happens over the next month. That should give console players and idea of what we may experience when and if it launches.

Define massive? Because not a single console update to date has required the servers to be down a full day unless your definition of a day is different than mine.

I doubt it will alter their release plans which have yet to be defined as the current date is just guesswork as usual. Unless a formal console release date is defined, and then pushed back, you're just reaching for more negative outlooks to put forth.

Yeah because the past mod flops have changed anything for console. If M16 flops...sorry, when M16 flops don't expect anything to change as far as console release goes. They're not putting anything on hold. Was M15 put on hold because people on PC complained about the lackluster campaign during preview and after release? No. Expect no different for M16.

So your outlook is that after M16 releases the normal reaction will happen on the forums, social, etc. Nothing you said is any different from any other day in NW.

Players who know their classes and how to play will have a great time and everyone else *coughs*elitists*coughs* who never learned will suffer.
Delicious.
Right now I'm laughing at the scramble of people wasting their time on Tales. There's nothing worthwhile to gain from it.
You do realize that all classes are changing. Also the update makes so that even if you mess up, it won’t be a total failure. New mod has made things very easy, take longer to run stuff, and boring combat for most classes.

The only way things will change is if players stop giving Cryptic their money. This may happen if enough get upset with the update and leave for while until Cryptic can fix the issues in mod 16. One of the biggest issues is the scaling system
Um, well Tales of the Old does have something to offer, game play... last time I checked we play games to play and have fun. Tales of the Old is probably the best thing they have added in a long long time. Its fun truly it is and that's why I play. Plus you get comp tokens which we all want.
I think it's the worst event they've ever done! Not 16,000 item level minimum? Too bad for you! I tried for hours to get in one attempt and the team didn't make it much past the first boss (I was lowest at 15,010 and I was the only one who had 0 downs)! So I got absolutely NOTHING from this garbage.
Guess I have to try to finish the remaining achievements before this comes based on the comments on PC it's not going to be good.

that probably means that you were in a bad team. a group of people that didn't know their class and probably weren't sticking together enough. one of the things I'm struck by is how this format has made all the higher end parties I run in outside of this dungeon to go back to following the old ways of sticking together and letting the tank run in first and waiting for the cleric to cast aa. lol. before this event it was rare to see that in other dungeons. I ran one with my cw where I was by far the highest player at 18k everyone else was 15 to 16k ish we made it to almost the very end. the hr didn't know how to hang back when he kept dying repeatedly. the gwf didn't have a choice but the hr was dying more than him anyway. but if the hr had made the decision to use his ranged only we'd have been able to complete. it's doable. 15 to 16k you just have to stay tight have people who know how their class works and if things aren't working right can adapt to stay alive. it's a really good training ground for what mod 16 will be imo

I disagree. Rehashing older content is taking an easy way out of development vs what should have been done which is developing new and engaging content. This is the new norm in mmo games, rehash older content and making it a bit harder and provide players some type of award for their time in the content; the award are never game changers.
I rather see newer content that is engaging and pulls us into the game world.
As for IL requirement; I get skipped as a 18.6K CW that runs mostly a buff or hybrid build.

Soon we will all be dying as healers wait on their encounters to refresh because the behavior of melee based dps won't change. As for range DPS we will finally be able to stand back a bit and actually be ranged DPS.

when you need to you can stand back and be a ranged dps now.
From the look of it, and my experience on Preview has been fairly sporadic, most of the changes will be no more or less than getting used to a different way of playing. Probably not as drastically as some are saying, though some changes are very big.
There are small issues that I think need tweaking such as some companion and mount stuff, but I was told earlier that the Mount issue is a scheduled fix already.
BUT... Scaling is a hot mess.
Whatever reasons there may be for a level cap increase to 80, the associated chaos that scaling is creating is NOT worth it.
(And I know... scaling isn't JUST level based and is fixed to zonal IL, but if they hadn't added L80 it would be easier to fix in the short term.)
They should just take the scaling out, I rather enjoy going back to STK and hammering on things to farm a frosted glyph. Brings sweet satisfaction compared to when STK first opened for me at il8-10k, and I was getting sent back to the respawn every 2 min...
If it's gonna be much harder I won't be farming those anymore, I'll just buy em from the AH...
There is a feeling that most players enjoy (I'd say "all players" but I'm sure there's one out there who hates this...) when you go back into a zone that caused all manner of hardship and grief when you first played it, and at a higher level you completely kick it's HAMSTER. (For me the first one was when I initially had no idea what I was doing, and finally crawled my way to Sharandar and really struggled with the Witch boss lair... when I worked out how to build my toon and got to L70 at about 2.9K IL and went back in and slaughtered everything. That felt SO good.)
But that's a thing of the past. Its now gaming for droids. It's all about analytics, and balance, and structure and keeping everything boxed into a growth graph that cannot be deviated from.
Why on Earth would we want Fun and Enjoyment when we have a controlled structure of growth versus difficulty that will never alter..., you will always be dropped down to the level of the challenge, or even below it?
Sadly, the new design system of the opposing rolls relies on tonnes of gear boosts to complete new content followed by down scaling to make sure you aren't too good for the stuff you already did.
The problem is, it is SO restrictive that it is hardly ever going to be possible to be substantially better than a zone. Ever. Maybe when there are a bunch of L80 campaigns, you might just about get to a point where you are truly better than a zone just before you get scaled down for it.
Level 80 characters... scaled down for Level 80 content... Oh yes! The goal of every player everywhere... to get better and better so that... the game can take it away from you because it gave you too much.
The goal of "Balance" got out of hand in Mod 16 development. Sure, balancing Classes and Paragons to reduce the uselessness of certain character types was a noble endeavour. But... someone should have stopped proceedings further down the line and said, "Whoah... guys... balancing Item Level so that IL-20K is no better than IL-10K? That's not a good idea..."

mod 6 was SOOO MUCH FUN we're gonna do it again!! yay!! cause why learn a lesson from something that we ALL see as a success? right?? I mean Right?? Right?
Good guess. They kinda made it easy for us though, lol.

I wonder how ESO update with necromancer class will impact NWO population. Especially where that expansion is 2x bigger than what we are getting with mod 16. GULP!
I know in ESO I am at end game but rarely login as I am waiting for the next update to play as a necromancer.
