Bug: bidding on item in 'my bids' page crashes game

last few times ive tried this it crashed the game
also, sometimes the bug reporter doesn't connect to the bug server or whatever it is called; why doesn't it try to connect a 2nd time? or until it succeeds?

    on a hunch i checked my mail and collected a large amount of bid returns
    after that i was able to bid on things without the game crashing

    happened again just now, with only about 20 mails in the post
    i've done the verify operation already, crash happened on first try of bidding after that
    i then emptied the mail box and didn't get a crash till just now
    i had bid on about 3 items and the 4th crashed the game

    i remembered to check my mail and i clicked on all of them and took the items or AD but did not delete, about 7 items, mails
    then i went to my bids and bid on a few items till the game crashed, about 7 or so
    wondering if that has anything to do with the mails i didn't delete first
    the crash handler is doing a mega dump, 4.3 GB
