quest: a clean start [oops, mistook brass for bronze]

I have the items, bronze ingots +1 x3, but the retainer will not bundle the items. It says return when you have the items.
I've abandoned the quest and tried again, I've made more ingots, I've bought ingots on the market, all +1 ingots.

i bought some linseed oil +1 and was able to advance the quest

Bronze Ingots are not on the list. Brass Ingots are on the list. Nothing that is that low level (like Bronze Ingots) are on the list.
