I'm reporting this one because a confused newbie contacted me in PE to try to help.
It appears that when you get the ring in Bradda's shop and are supposed to refine the enchantment in it, if you somehow get rid of that ring before completing the quest, you can never refine anything else ever again, it tells you to complete the tutorial.
