Eldritch Runestones bug

As is known,when equipping an eldritch runestone the player gets a portion of their pet's stats as bonus. To let the player know that this bonus is active, an icon appears under the players portait. The problem is that every so often the icon, along with the bonus , dissapear and i have to dismiss and then re summon my augment companion (ioun stone in my case) in order to regain the bonus stats. This is not only annoying but further reduces the uselfuness of an already underpowered class of companions (augments).
