Neither of these companions will use their melee attacks, this prevents them from triggering their regeneration, or triggering bonding stones.

    They don't have melee attack but when they cast their power, companion's gift does proc. It also gives you regeneration but it seems only when you are out of combat and not 100% HP.

    Anyway, using them as summon companion is waste of time in my opinion.
