Professions XP buggy ?

I'm levelling up my lowbie tailor, my options for tasks:

Lvl 16 Linen yarn
Lvl 17 Linen cloth
Lvl 19 Linen shirt

Why is the lvl 17 task worth less profession XP (1109) than the lvl 16 one (1161) the lvl 19 one for reference gives 1435.

    Leather belt does not give XP at all. That is 0 XP as it does not show in the log and does not show in the complete dialog box (not even saying 0 XP).

    It appears that the level 5 item in all professions do not reward experience. My guess is that the developers expected the target item to be crafted for gold replenishment (other items may be more profitable).

    Several other items, notably consumables like potions, provide more/less XP than their 'neighbors' on the list. Again, it seems to be biased around the marketability of the item.
