From what I remember players asked for a "collect all" button for professions instead of having to click on each task multiple times, instead what we got was the mod-15 professions change that not only requires much more button clicking for doing professions but it also requires a few more button clicks at a different location just to gather the materials to run professions and a need to collect those raw materials (which to begin with requires players to travel back to Protector's Enclave) before being able to start any profession endeavor.
Then we can add to that it now costs gold to initiate professions tasks, to use the "N" button like we used to be able to, we have to have level up sufficiently to get a sending stone and there is a chance of failure for all professions (not just alchemy)…
Perhaps we should have asked for Neverwinter to make professions more costly, more difficult and require more button pushing, maybe then we'd wind up with a fully autonomous professions change that didn't require so many hoops to jump through, would make tons of gold from the outset and always produced twice as much as intended without a chance of failure on any of them.
I guess it isn't hard to tell I'm not a fan of the new professions changes ~
