A question I never thought I would hear myself ask in this game...

So, today finally made me want to ask this question of the developers..."Would you please stop adding new content to the game, at least for awhile?"

I know, weird question to ask, and goes against what most things that games like this are about. I know that new content is what keeps people playing, and it's what brings new people in, but.... again today, I find myself not able to enjoy any of that new content.

Game lag , stuttering and the more than occasional disconnect and crash make it unplayable. Yes, I have tested my connections, consulted with my ISP, even went and manually checked the wiring and the Network Interface box on the house.

My suggestion to the developers, please, instead of focusing on new content for awhile, shift those resources to optimizing and upgrading what you currently have, that being the servers, your connections, etc. Make sure that what you currently have can handle more than the workload you can estimate (err on the side of caution and over estimate) before adding content that makes the situation worse.

I love this game, and I love what you all have done. I love that you are trying to do your best as a free to play game to keep up with the new content demands that pay to play games set for the genre. In that, you do a phenomenal job. But the current downside is that the equipment, connections, etc that you currently have cannot handle the increased workload reliably. Start off at the bottom and work your way up. The best way to keep and acquire new customers is to ensure that your base foundation is solid, so that anything you add works with as little flaws as possible.

OK, done ranting, off to go do something else until things die down a bit. :)

Numerous players rant and rave about the lack of things to do in this game but this is indeed an entirely new tactic. ;)

Not going to happen cause bottom lines. And honestly, you could give them the year and the game would still be laggy, full of bugs, unbalanced, etc. So bring on the content please to make me forget about all the broken things in the game.

Yes the only way they would stop releasing new content at the rate they are now is if WotC would tell them to do it. They are more or less at the mercy of what Wizard's wants them to do.

They can keep pumping out modules, but they do need to hire more staff to ensure its in good shape before release.

The lag I notice now did not start happening until after all the extended server maintenance days. It's almost as if it was a server downgrade. :/

I don't have much of a problem with lag if my internet connection is running good and I am not over taxing my PC.

What I would like to see is them cleaning up the cobwebs from the game. For example. the zone store for older campaigns is full of 70 level junk at item level 390 or something that NO ONE WANTS! Same with chests, if its not end game gear, its garbage. At least when we had salvage you could get some AD from it. Things like Black Ice is almost useless compared to other solutions. Weapons from Cloaked Ascendancy are cool but, again, so low that they are unusable.

IDK, build in some sorta code that all of these rewards are based off a global value that when you increase it increases all the others.
