Bad, bad changes...

I don't know what you think, friends, but...

Despite the "Master" bad change - professions system, that made us reboot, almost from zero: a lost of time and money, once we lost resources, epic workers and tools, none of them came us for free, for sure. And, worst, many items that we used to make for sale at auction , items bought by other players to equip their toons, a "right" way to make lot of AD, no longer exists... Did you realize there's no longer pants and shirts 70th level epic quality to craft? More... The way they did the new system, you must pay to create each item! And need to go to workshop to make some tasks and pick up the items (or pay to get them out the Workshop) - means you will loose time in game! Even more... They created a new mint, the company credits, and to upgrade the workshop to max level you will need to pay 5,5KK AD or do itens for the company as a madman...

That was the great bad change, in my opinion... But there are more...

Now, all items that drop from mobs you kill go automatic to your bag - items that you don't want (as treasures, scrolls, potions, low quality equipment) and that force you open the bag to discard... Boring!

New rewards for XP levels after 70th - developers, please, 1000 AD for a 70th level character is nothing! And you no longer receive a refinement stone, but refinement points that go direct to you, bad once, in the old way, you could transfer the stone to another character in account, in need to refine artifacts or enchantments...

Think about to annoy players...

And the cake cherry: we are no longer adventurers, but "guns for hire" to a couple of deceitfuls - the new NPCs, Omin Dran and Jim Darkmagic, from Acquisitions Incorporated... I'm wondering if the concept of this new campaign wasn't done by someone 8 years old.... ;) And starting to think if Neverwinter (Cryptic) are giving up to adult players...

I can't decide if must cry or laugh...

P.S. Developers, please, put a mail courrier inside workshop - it would be very helpful!

I guess its all about perspective and gameplay style.

    Crafting got redone:
Never into crafting although I got Leadership to lvl 20 on multiple characters and some other crafts to 25. This wont matter much to me I guess. People been saying its not worth it yet plenty of new items to buy on AH already.

    Gold needed:
Plenty of gold available through gameplay from what I see, even available for just under 1:1 atm on AH.

    RP changes:
Lots of RP available through gameplay again also available for under 1:1 on AH atm. Individuals can farm up their own or just buy lots.

    Re-roll and LB items:
Made some items more abundant. Prices decreased. More chances to get needed things. Sellers be mad not people in the need.

    Auto pickup fills inventory fast:
If your a hoarder or think near everything is junk this might hurt. I have no problem with it. Sell or convert junk pretty easy. Do some Inv rearrangement or get more. Bag slots all full? Get the new event value storage alts lol.

    Salvage gone:
RAD been reduced or removed in some places and introduced in others. Not much difference in RAD generation on my part. If anything, if I didn't have VIP and continued not to the new key changes would mean I get RAD quicker.

    Campaign:
Not bad so far imo. Looking forward to different things opening up.

    Different strokes for different folks.

Agreed - being honest I am enjoying the new crafting system, it *feels* like actually crafting.

The Heart of Fire is a bit of a joke, but at least it isnt like the horrific grindfest when Soshenstar River first opened, or worse, Sea of Moving Ice. Again - I am happy with the new module, it is WAY TOO LOW on new content, but I think of it as easy iL and its a bit different.

gold was always important.. at least to people that dont have level 20 strongholds and like to move some equipment. Yes I get it.. you're bored in your level 20 guilds. Its no reason to make life more miserable for the rest of us. Just another piece of their moving the gold posts again and again after letting the early adopters get the easier path.

    All those 'worthless items'?
That is your Crafting Gold, right there.
Pick it all up and sell it.
Hell, before too long, I expect that there will be a brisk trade between non-crafters and crafters, with the former farming gold to buy Gold Bars to sell to the latter on the A.H. for the A.D. income.

    As far as Acquisitions Incorporated:
    It's a long story.
They are characters in a long running campaign from the folks at Penny Arcade:
    https://www.penny-arcade.com/comic
Their games have become much beloved events for fans of the strip, often live streamed, even played on stage at their Penny Arcade Expos.
Love 'em or hate 'em, they are big, and a real part of AD&D's online presence.

'Wen considered the nature of time and understood that the universe is, instant by instant, recreated anew. Therefore, he understood, there is in truth no past, only a memory of the past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time
