Old Assets Exchange Rate

artifleurartifleur Member Posts: 642 Arc User
There are several aspects of the new crafting system which I dislike but the worst of all, by far, is the exchange rate of old crafters into new artisans :

1. I couldn't find a reference yet but I believe it was clearly stated that the amount of exchange credits given for a crafter would be based on their AH average value at the time the changes were anounced. Instead, a leadership crafter is worth the same amount of credits as a crafter of any other profession. That's a serious kick in the balls for anyone who invested in those expensive leadership guys.

2. 200K credits for a recruitment scroll is simply unacceptable. This scroll rewards mostly blue artisans with a small chance for purple or white. I understand that the new artisans are worth as much as 4 or 5 old crafter but a blue crafter gives 8k credits. At this rate it's 25 old blue guys for 1 new blue artisan, are you nuts? 30k credits for a scroll would be fine, 50k would be tolerable but 200k is crazy. Please re-think this ASAP.

I just checked this on live just this very minute. The vouchers left by heroes are worth 80k. The vouchers left by Grandmasters from any profession are worth 30k. The Grandmaster vouchers were worth only 20k on preview.

I only have green ones which are worth 2k. So the scaling is limited to heroes I guess.

Yeah, I didn't have any green or blue Leadership people. Though, I would have thought their values would have been higher than the green and blue people from the other professions. After all, I can't imagine that green and blue non-Leadership people would have been priced the same as green and blue Leadership people.

I have not exchanged anything yet because this HAMSTER fest is all confusion as hell and I am afraid I am going to HAMSTER it up.

I dumped my high level leadership crafters onto the AH before this mess could happen. I am guessing a lot of other people did as well which could have lead to a drop in AH price?

That wouldn't have mattered. They indexed the value of the assets against their AH prices from prior to the announcement of the overhaul.
