What else should he do with his seals? Maybe he’s a completionist... Maybe he has HAMSTER luck on hunts Maybe he just wants primal gear

Hence I asked him why. I know the possible reasons.
The III version upgrades the gloves, which are still BiS for some classes due to its power stack bonus. For instance, they are nice for a DO DC, and if he is lucky, he might have them upgraded a few days before the class becomes a joke.

Hmm... I didn't know it counted for base power. You sure about that?
Also, why would a DO be too concerned about power sharing?
I kind of agree that a DO probably has more focused options. And even for power sharing on an AC DC, I think I personally prefer executioner's. My reasoning is that in order for primal to overtake executioners, you typically need 3 stacks, which is hard to consistently build out of combat / on the pink countdown ring where I usually cast AA. But the difference there is minor, and primal gloves outperform all other options when all 5 stacks are up.
But on a prot-OP powerfont I still consider viv primal to be BiS (because of the higher base power numbers due to oath mechanic).
Im a psop and got my first carving the other day and i used it on gloves not knowing i needed to save for gloves..... ughh but still the primal is nice. Maybe not bis but why wouldn't you want to vivify? Its like saying why waste time in somi to get junky old stuff. Cuz some people play the game to have fun not just be bis endgame. Why would you want primal is a very dumb question. Why push people away from content cuz its not the best and newest?
