Is there a point to playing this game with RNG?

I have failed over 60 attempts now on upgrading a simple purple artifact. Almost a week of income has resulted in 0 gain for the account in any way, on reasonable odds, that have landed a .58% chance of failing this many times. This isn't just some run dungeon archetype game. Everything needed for end game requires odds and requires it many times. How can a beginner level item be impossible for me to upgrade still? This is a great example of why people quit playing.
