GWF who is not DPS ?

Hi,

I'm looking forward to a GWF who can be viable as a team support either tank or buff.

I'm explaining, the party requiered is near the meta based on 3-4 support class and 1 or 2 DPS. As a GWF the DPS slot is rather obvious for me.

But can I fullfill a support slot with efficience (perhaps not as good as a DC or CW) ? Is anybody having an idea on this ?

I'm making some test on a tanky set based on Iron Vanguard and the sentinel path. It's pretty funny. I've managed Etos with another GWF. I was 12k IL and full boons and 8's rank enchants, and he was 14k full boons and all enchants 11's. To be efficient you have to play mid life all the time with a deflect as high as possible.

Have you experimented such build ?

    The GWF buff path is Instigator and it has been non functional since Beta.

    The tank Path is Sentinel and it was broken in mod4 and then made completely obsolete in mod 6 when tanking was redefined.

    Despite being designed as a tank class, GWF has only been able to DPS since mod4.

    I'm knowing this too much. And I want some change, I'm pretty sick of that unique role in a team. I was asking for it, if anyone has clue for another non-DPS build... Maybe I can be lucky (more than my legendary RNG).

    there's nothing. Everything besides dps sucks a lot.

    Tested out instigator, mighty leap does give the combat adv for 7.5 secs, just doesn't show on the buff bar, but ACT gives constant flank. Also, stacks appear to be working from bring hit. With razorwood, doing decent dps, but just tinkering.

    Why would you waste time adding a combat advanatage that other classes can provide just by existing?
    Less forcing how you wanna play in a Class that you got at 70 and/or like allready and more playing classes that can do these things allready which is a much better reason to "like" a class.

    GWF is dead already. I suggest you to roll a GF; It can fill almost any role and be useful AF.
