When items provide equip bonus varying by companion (undead, draconic,...), where to see the result?

Recently my char received the Dragon Loyalist's Visage from Shores of Tuern.
In the tooltip it says "equip bonus varies by (draconic) companion.".

I have a Silver-Scaled Cleric Disciple not only active but also summoned for that char, yet the tooltip doesn't change.
Where is the actual bonus described to see how it compares to other options?

There is also Zulkir's Dreadnought from Valindra's Tower granting bonus by undead companion, didn't show it there either with skeleton.

These bonuses show on your buff bar and sometimes your stat sheet, however the buff bar does not have room to show all the buffs, so it often does not appear.

The only way to figure out if they are working on console is to review and interpret the numbers in the combat log.

The symbol alone wouldn't tell me what it actually does specifically, since I don't know the meaning of all of them, and I couldn't tell the source whether it's that bonus I'm looking for or anything else, except it shows out of combat, too, while having no other known bonus active.

How would I know there are only numeric bonuses and not special trigger effects (with maybe a rare chance not to see it always in the log)? Perhaps it could pay off using a "weaker" companion if the bonus were worth it.
Why would this be put there in such a way rather than replacing the generic info "varies by type" with the actual bonus when it applies? So it is intentional to be not useful/userfriendly?

    Thanks for responding.
