Running in Defensive Stance

My character has been running in defensive stance for over a week and while it doesn't make a great deal of difference in one way, it's extremely annoying in another. I've checked my game settings to see if anything has changed and it doesn't look like it has. I don't see any other players characters running like this so I wonder if it's a bug or if I've done something I don't know about. Any ideas?

    did u try with and without companion?

    No, but why would that make a difference? I've always had a companion but the problem has only been around for a week.

    Ok, I did try it without a companion and the same thing happens. Any guesses?

    Do you wear Earthtreaders boots or use Pilgrim weapons?

    Turns out it was my gear, thanks for the hint Pitshade. This thread can be closed now.
