Masterwork Frustration

I am trying to complete the second part of the first quest of Mailsmithing. The only thing I have left is to acquire Gemmed Ememental Scale Armor. I know I use the Rare Profession to make Superior Elemental Scale Armor at Tier 3. However this never seems to come up in the list. Do the rare professions come up at random, or is there some sequence to them?

Been searching the Auction House to no avail.

Completely random. The only things that help are having more than one character at level 25 in mailsmithing to increase the odds of finding it and checking every hour when the tasks reset. When you do get it get, run it 3X if you have the mithral tools to cover the failure rate. If you get extra, they will sell on the AH to help recoup your costs. Tier 2 Masterworks items for most crafts (Jewelry and alchemy, not so much) sell pretty well.

Finally found one in the auction house. Paid a little more than I wanted to, but I have all masterworks working on level 2. Fortunately our alliance is good about have the Millabout traders up, so it will be easier.

Yes, it is. I was so happy when I got my 8th to level II. Being able to buy just about everything with guildmarks made the progression to 3 much easier and was a benefit in getting to V.
