Is there a particular reason why personal bank are capped at 208 slots?

I went to buy a few more from the zen store but the system said I could not purchase any more slots.
I am a hoarder of armor sets, I have been playing the game since release and have kept all the sets for my class.
Just odd that there would be a limit of bank slots.

Shared slots are capped at 88.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Well there are two different approaches some use to resolve this issue:

    ▪ One I won't talk about: as I don't think it's looked on favorably even if it's permitted.
    ▪ Two - create one, two or three or more ALT's then add Bank slot's to those character's.
╘ I mean if you already have several shared banks slots it be easy to transfer items that are Account/Unbound.
╘ Yet another challenge if saving gear that's previously worn (bound) cause you like collecting them all.

So I guess the question is if you just saving them to collect them; but don't have plans to use them as a transmute. It then comes down to deciding which gear/items you like to keep, simply so you can later use the more favorite ones as transmutes. Otherwise it comes down to just a simple *PLEASE* expand Character Bank slots to perhaps 224. Then just hope maybe someone see's and enough agree with you that they actually consider it. :)

I mean they did reduce Bank & Shared Bank Costs to 500 ZEN during the Jubilee; so they likely want a few more people being encouraged to upgrade bank slots on a few more characters.

As for why bank slots are capped, it probably has something to do with database overhead.

Yea I suspect while they do want more people buying a few more bank slots; they also place a reasonable limit on most individual characters for just that reason. I mean even if someone stops playing the game their items / resources often remain for years afterwards just in case the player decides to return.
