Returning after the Drows

ross80ross80 Member Posts: 9 Arc User
Hello!

I've just logged in and my account is still alive : ) so I am going to play.

My bank and backpack are full of same-name items, so it seems the enchanting system has been simplified for sure. Cryptics also gave me frost-something armor boxes for returning, I should open them, but I don't know which version to choose: assault or the other one.

Currently, my item level is 7,231 - this is insane! yet I am wearing garbage. Back when I was playing the same items were something like 3.5k (or 2.5k? I don't remember).

I left at the time of Drow campaign, never tried the Frozen Vikings. So what should I do now? I need weapons and armor, where do you get the current ones?

More importantly, I am a wizard, I probably need to respec, is there a guide for a wizard that is still relevant?

Go to Neverember to get a quest to go to Barovia. When you reach the village, you will get a full set of gear that includes all armour, belt, neck, weapons, underwear, rings with rank 8 enchantment. These are not the best but these would be better than whatever you have had. You don't care about the frost something box much. Unfortunately, CW is kind of weak in recent mods. You may have hard time. There is only one fight between Neverember and the village assuming you don't pick fight with wandering monsters.

Regarding the IL, the formula changed at some point and it now includes things like companion gear, boons and so on. So, no...your gear didn't magically become better.... the scale is just different (the maximum is now around 18400).
    Hoping for improvements...

Good time to come back because, unlike the past few mods, even fresh 70s can immediately participate in the new mod.
