CW Shard of endless avalanche

My main character in this game is HR but I have an Alt Control wizard spellstorm mage that I have problems with.
Since start I loved to play with my CW Alt and one of resons is that you have to play well to survive just like HR.
I really loved the encounter power shard of endless avalanche,but I noticed from start that very often this magic boll goes through the enemies without making any damage.
I played with this disadvantige with my CW Alt for a very long time now (more than one year) and noticed that no other CW players is using this encounter power and I dont blame them.
Nowing that, if I summon this power boll long before enemies spawn makes it often work.
But today I feel like to swich this encounter to something else and its a shame.
Because this encouter power is worthless when you need to do damage fast.
I just came from Dread Ring HE where I moved this boll through the same enemy 3 times without any effect
and I summoned this boll long before the enemy spawned.
I know it seems silly,that I beg for a change to my Alt CW player but please fix this broken encouter power for my Control wizard.
It should always make damage when used on an enemy.Never go through with no effect ever again.

It used to be lots more affective, but they nerfed it quite a few mods back. Now it is worthless, unless you are a MoF, then it does have a use, but takes a daily to make it useful.
