Can't enter through the Bridge Gate in Castle Ravenloft (Dungeon)

Our party is unable to enter the Castle Ravenloft because the little gate in front of the bridge doesn't go up. Strahd just rides past us, squeezes through the gate, and disappears in his castle.

(I guess he installed the gate for a reason and we need to go on a diet.)

    Did you talk to the Ghost commander (and her army) that attacks Castle Ravenloft several times a day/

    Yes, but this bug only happens in the 5-man Epic Dungeon and not during the "Bride to Be" quest.

    I did about 45 successful runs in CR last week. I would say roughly 15-20% of the time this bug occurred. I speculated that it may have something to do with proximity to the gate when Strahd rides up, but nothing with empirical data to back up.

    I'm wondering if it's related to the Sunsword Hilt bug (I don't have one but am eligible for the Castle Ravenloft Dungeon).

    It happened to my party 4 times in a row once.
