Do the Double XP Event and the Epic Experience Booster Stack?

The question is in the title, since I don't want to be flamed for having a "click-bait title" as I have been on some unrelated communities in Reddit.

In essence, am I wasting the Epic Experience Booster I have on my Control Wizard if I play said Control Wizard during the Double XP Event? Or do their effects stack?

    The double XP only applies to the base experience.
    It stakes as addition instead of multiplication.

    e.g. if your booster pack is 2x, you will get 2x + 2x = 4x instead of 2x * 2x = 4x although they are the same result.
    If the booster pack does 3x, you will get 5x instead of 6x.

    Thank you! I was afraid that the booster didn't apply at all during the event. I'm glad I was wrong. I appreciate your quick response.
