was wondering how this stat works if say i got 100% resist does that make me immue to knockbacks stuns daze etc or does it just reduce the durations etc is there a cap on this stat at which piont it isn't effective i noticed is two companions that can get it to 75% and with other items can get it higher just not sure how it all works and don't want to drop 2 mil diamonds on trying it if it doesn't work just been haveing alot of issues iwth the large packs and being bounced around and stun locked.

I remember asking about control resist some years back and got no answers, from my own observations control resist does not work in PVE, it might work in PVP but since I never do that I am only guessing about that one. For PVE I tried a Sun Elf, 30 wisdom, a wisp companion all together and I could not see a single case where I was under control for a shorter period than anyone else. So whatever you, do not drop 2 million into this/

I'll start by saying I play mainly PvE and rarely do some PvP to help my guild.

I can't give you actual numbers but I can share my experince with you. From what i've tested out, you CAN'T get completely imune to cc effects but you CAN get prety close to that aproaching 100% cc resistance. My dc is currently running Elven Battle enchant and with other feats and boons it have about 99% cc resistance. It is not completly imuned to knokdowns and push their durations and distances are reduced tho. It is however imune to most stuns effects like T-Rex roar, Yuan-ti's partial paralysis, etc.

In concluson i'll say that cc resistance is awsome but it's a not a must have for neither PvE nor PvP.

Hope that was helpfull and i'll be happy to answer any further questions :)

It works on some things in PvE but not everything. All the new content in the past year or so has introduced control effects that completely ignore your control resistance, like the stone-eye stun that came with Cloaked Ascendancy and the charm and fear by the Yuan-ti and the partial paralysis from various enemies in the Chult campaign.

Partial Paralysis can be removed by the GF's Villains Menace. Charm can only be avoided by not facing the caster. Terror can be avoided by not being within the area of effect when it goes off.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Thanks for the tips, the op was specifically asking about control resistance so I wanted to make sure and mention that for whatever reason it doesn't work at all against newer control effects. It could be a bug, it could be a decision made by the developers, I've not seen it commented on officially one way or another.

I don't think you mentioned every possible scenario, and also with some of the enemies you can interrupt them with various abilities before they charm/fear/whatever you. ;)

I've had luck with Cursebringer on that front. Eye appears over a Dancer and then disappears. Zealot starts casting and then the purple circle disappears.
