So I complete the MW Alchemy IV quest. I completed the 50,000 credits task. Then nothing.
No new quest anywhere to get MW Alchemy V recipes. I went ahead and bought the Chult Alembic and even went so far as to create the Maple Rot Draught just to see if that would trigger something, still nothing.
Anyone has any info that can steer me in the right direction?

So if any of you who have completed MW up to tier 5 have any information you can share that will help it would be greatly appreciated.
We are currently aware of an issue where the quest "The Root of the Problem" (for tier V masterwork alchemy) will not become available if the player has any other masterwork quests accepted, in any tier. In the meantime, it should be possible to circumvent this issue by dropping all other masterwork quests, unfortunately, if you have any partial progress on those quests, you would have to lose that progress in order to utilize this workaround.
Originally tier IV and V masterwork quests were slated to be subject to the same restrictions as tier I and II, meaning you could only progress one profession at a time. That restriction was removed, but unfortunately, a data error caused that lock to remain behind on the alchemy quest.
During our investigation of this issue we also noticed that final legendary quest items created before accepting the corresponding quest may not count towards completion. If you have not yet made the final turn in item, I would advise that you wait until you have accepted the quest. If you are stuck on the quest and have the item in your inventory and it has failed to recognize it, you may create another or wait for the fix at which time the quest will properly register the item.
We are working to have the fix in for these problems as soon as possible, and apologize for the tremendous inconvenience these issues are causing.
Thank you for your response. However, I have already tried your suggestion. I tried it before I even submitted a support ticket, just like I asked another mastercrafter before I submitted a ticket.
Before I submitted a ticket I tried everything I could think of (that didn't include using more of my precious resources). This includes dropping all other masterwork quests I had in my quest log, doing this accomplished nothing, in fact I've done this twice. The problem could be, the moment you interact with the NPC she starts to force-feed you every Masterwork quest she has whether you want them or not. Why wasn't this NPC created like other multi-quest NPC's, where you are presented with a list of available quests from which to choose?
I've logged in, logged out, changed zones, moved items around in my inventory, purchased a Chultan Alembic that I don't need, crafted the maple rot draught that I can't use.. anything to try and trigger the quest. Nothing has worked so far. Do I need to do backflips while sipping tea from a cup crafted from the crushed bones of powries while balancing on uni-cycle on a tightrope above a chasm filled with the tears of pseudodragons?
I have an open support ticket and am working with a GM to attempt to resolve the problem. I'm at the 'take screenshots of everything phase'. yippee...
At this point I don't know why I bother.
It then gave me the quest to see the groundskeeper and I was able to hand in the part I had previously crafted .
I was also working on jewelcrafting items at the same time - now trying to finish the final item .
So for me at least I was able to complete the alchemy tasks .
Something was done during this past week's maintenance that seems to have fixed my problem. I was able to go to the NPC just now and receive my quest for MW Alchemy V.
If anyone else is having any similar issues relating to MW quests I would advise checking the quest NPC. While I appreciate the fix I think it would have done a world of good if the developers had been transparent about it. If they had at least made a small mention about this fix in the patch notes.
I'm glad you fixed it, but c'mon guys. You should have at least said something. This is conducive of what I consider the largest over-arching problem that this gaming company/studio has: Significant lack of communication.
