Rerolling ability scores on "old models/faces" characters. Help needed.

Hi,

I am a past beta and founder coming back to the game after 1 year or so. It always bothered me that pw changed the character creation options by removing the oriignal faces/models and replaced with new ones, leaving only the hair options.

I have some very old toons I want play again, my DC, GF, GWF... The problem is that I would like to reroll their ability scores since the game changed so much in 5 years or so, without updating their models to the new ones. I like the old ones!

Is that possible at all? A friend told me it should be possible by purchasing a "race reroll" and going right to rolling stats without messing in any visual choices. That would keep the old visual BUT he wasnt sure so confirmation is in order.

Also, on arc site says i can use race reroll just once per account... wow. Really?

Is there any other way to reroll my scores without messing with models/heads?

Also, if it is possible reroll the stats, can we pick another class for the character and keep the old visuals as well?

    If you want to change the ability score, you can just re-spec the character.
    Go to 'Feat' windows. The bottom left button is 'Respec character'.

    EDIT: my mistake, that does not reroll the dice of ability score.

    No, this would only change the points you placed while leveling, not the first roll itself, the one you got from character creation. That is what I am talking about, unless they changed this.

    Edit: yeah. :) Also other questions remains like if i can reroll and pick a different class while keeping the old visuals.

    With a race reroll token, you can change your ability scores and keep your race/visual.
    But if you change your race, you will not be able to keep your visual.

    afaik you can't. Originally after the new faces at mod4(?) there was a way, (I vaguely remember now) you could press cancel at the first screen, then try again and it would remember your old face.
    But then tried it at mod7 I think and it was no longer working.

    Thanks, but someone can confirm if that is not working anymore? More important, if i try and see it is updating my visuals, can i cancell the process?

    Also, I saw a race reroll token at z store, does this mean we can make more than one race reroll per account?

    The token is 1 use but you can buy it again.

    If i click on it, open the screen and see that my toon will be updated, can i cancel and keep the token or it will be lost anyway? Please dont say "go and buy one", it is 1500z. :disappointed: I am up to reroll all my 3 old chars but not to risk lose one race reroll for nothing.

    You can't change the class

    I think you can gat and use race re-rolls on the preview server, with no actual ZEN cost, that might be you best option, test and see if it does exactly what you need.

    Yes ive changed the race on two of my toons. Sorry no idea if you can avoid changing appearance, but from memory if you skip that bit you will get the default not your existing look.

    ;P Last time I race rerolled my character was because I needed to change attributes to prefect ones, once the appearance part popped up I clicked the button to keep my current look, as my concern with you doing so, may still result with different outcome. Since your referring about something that has been removed technically speaking. -w-

    Class/Background isn’t changed.
