To make this short..
During the Ras Nsi (end boss), it have happened many times that the sound effect and/or the visual effect of the ghost that slam the platform has not appeared. Which makes it even harder to complete.
On top of this there seems to be some invisible effects 1 hitting players staying ranged on Ras Nsi.
And if you are good or lucky enough to actually beat the boss, the boxes does not appear. Forcing you to kill yourself and try again.
Even had it that I died at the very end, had to release and come back, only to find the boxes locked for me! wtf!!! This was supposed to be fixes long time ago.
Im wondering if this is a deliberate tactic, forcing people to use mass scrolls of life to beat this boss. These bugs have been known ever since it was released...
People spend money on this game, some in the belief that it will improve the game... You are stealing their money. You ought to give people about 10 mill ad for damages..

These bugs you mention are annoying and will hopefully be fixed.
Might I suggest the following in the meantime:
1) Be vigilant of the hands. If the boss suddenly teleports to the middle/back of the platform....MOVE. Another indicator is that usually hands follow the souls round. The first slam or two seems to have its own mechanic, but once he starts spawning souls, it seems we get hands immediately after.
2) Treat this like any other boss. The tank should stand on the opposite side of everyone else. Everyone else stands together right behind him. I often use the "Stand on his tail" mentality. As long as the tank holds Aggro and the DC(s) are running appropriate buff/debuff, there should be no issues going down. Standing anywhere else seems to hit with random AOE attacks....some unannounced
I personally appreciate tanks who "pull" the boss consistently to the middle. When he teleports, they pull his aggro so he moves back center. This means less chasing and has the side effect that the "souls" often spawn within AOE range of each other.
3) Make sure the party knows when to stop hitting. When about 3/4 through the last health bar, the DPS should slow attacks. When the dialogue starts, STOP HITTING Ras Nsi. Anyone with Dot's should be mindful not to cast too many of these in the last health bar. From my experience, as long as Ras Nsi has health in his bar, he will get knocked off and the chests will spawn.
It is a few extra mechanics, but as long as the group knows going in, you should be in good shape through the end.

I dont see it as the gamers job to find work arounds for bugs. That should be the devs. job. correct?
Have succesfully completed Tome of the nine gods more +130 times, so I know about the mechanics from Ras Nsi. Does not change the fact that you dont stand a chance when the mechanics gets mixed up and you are not allerted.
I don't get why people seem to think that bugs shouldn't be jammed down the dev's throats until they fix them. So what if there's a workaround. It still needs to be fixed.
Yet another reason people have left this game. Bugs that hang around for months if not years. Hopefully the bugfixes have a better future with more Rocktober events (as long as we don't have to wait until October every single year).
