low effort, ugly campaign gear.

Having started a 3rd character in this game i chose a control wizard and have just reached level 67 after finishing reclamation rock. My reward in the elemental evil campaign was the black earth gear set and.....oh dear.
This is by far the most pathetic looking campaign reward i've seen yet and is essentially just a sack cloth outfit. I'm level 67 but i look as though i'm level 1 again.

I know nothing will change as a result of this thread but it's just indicative of the many truly ugly gear sets that we grind for. The Trickster rogue drowcraft set (which looks like a gimp suit) is a prime example of how bad these things can look.

The cosmetic appearance of our characters does matter, i just wish i could pick up a gear set that i didnt need to spend 20k diamonds changing how it looks.

Leveling gear: you will rapidly not need it. Therefore it doesn't need to look pretty.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

It's a fair point but im not particularly asking for pretty, just better than my CW looking like a homeless bum who slept in a bush last night. A tiny bit of effort is all im asking for.

There are a lot of extremely ugly gear sets that we are just stuck with for long periods of time. As i mentioned the drowcraft gear just looks absurdly bad and for me it was one of the first sets i earned after hitting 70. A lot of the time i end up buying cheap green gear to modify the appearance but still have to pay 5k diamonds for every piece i want to transmute.

You can transmute to something you do like. Just because one person doesn't like or thinks it is ugly does not mean everyone thinks that.

Some of us LIKE looking like we crawled out of a HAMSTER-soaked alley, thank you very much! Also, thanks for the head's up... now I know where to go to get transmutes!

Maybe some people DO enjoy looking like a homeless tramp for extended periods of time, with a 20k fee just to look normal again. It just isn't for me thanks.

Buy a fashion set you like the look of and just run that. I like the look of my level 70 Warlock with dreadnought armor and bloodlord helm, but I think it looks ridiculous running that through the Cloak Tower when you get that as your random. You look way over geared compared to the others (which you are, but that is a complaint about the random system not the gear itself). So I just use a fashion set I like and go with that.
