New Campaign Signet

The signet doesn't reduce the amount of reputation required for a campaign (e.g. SKT & IWD) meaning that players have to spend the same amount of time running the campaign.

This not only invalidates the entire purpose of the signet, it's also a waste of 50k AD.

"I think it's WAI.. you still save a lot of time thanks to reduced cost of secrets of ostoria I think
if you do dailies everyday etc you need around 56 days to get 800 reputation
for boons you need 540 secrets = 78 days of daily grind
So with token you can finish this campaign by whole 20-30 days faster with everyday grind "

For campaign of this length it would be still nice if reputation would be affected by signet.

As I said on Discord, that saves only about a 3rd (or worse) of the time from the toon with the signet but you need to add the time required to purchase the signet which reduces the effectiveness of time saved to less than 20%.

Quote from the introductory thread from @rgutscheradev :

"With this next release, we are introducing “Signets of Patronage”: account-bound tokens, one for each campaign, that your main can make and hand to one of your alts. That alt can turn in the Signet to progress in the campaign at double speed!"

The obvious implication is that the intention was to halve the time spent. As this doesn't come close to half I consider it as not WAI but hope the devs can provide info.

THe description in game states that the signets double Reputation earned in SKT, IWD, and other rep based areas. Have you tested this and is it not doubling Reputation earned?

@johnnyreklaw#1518 it never occurred to me that they may halve most costs but double the earning rate of others so I checked it out and you're absolutely right. Even though the daily states you earn 9 reputation it actually pays you 18.
